Nintendo Reveals Second Quarter Data
Like all major companies have to do, Nintendo releases their second quarter (March to June 30th) sales report. If you are interested to dig deeper in all the finical bliss, then check out the link below. I just pulled out a few highlights.
- drop in sales and earnings for the first quarter. Appreciation of the yen and the lowering of the DS price blamed.
- ¥188,646 million in sales over the three month period, down from the ¥253,498 million.
- Super Mario Galaxy 2 has sold 4.09 million units worldwide.
- DS sold 3.15 million units over the three months, down from the 5.97 million.
- DS has sold 132.04 million units worldwide.
- Wii was up from last quarter’s 2.23 million units to 3.04 million units.
- Wii has sold 73.97 million units worldwide.
- DS software sales were 22.41 million units.
- DS has sold 740.93 million pieces of software worldwide total.
- Wii software sales were 28.17 million units total
- Wii has sold 573 million units of software worldwide thus far.
