Last night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, President of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime, appeared on the show to walk Jimmy through Nintendo’s upcoming phone app, Super Mario Run. While most Nintendo fans figured this would be the case, the big N had one more surprise in store for those watching by showing off The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild running on the Nintendo Switch console. We even got to see the handheld portion of the console in action, and although it was hard to see at times, it appears that the game will run just as smooth as it did on the big screen. Whats more, Legend of Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto was there to give his approval as part of the live audience. Oh, and Bill was there too.
The Nintendo Switch console is tentatively set to launch in March of 2017, with more information about the release and pricing coming on January 12. Be sure to check back here when the time comes to get all the Nintendo Switch information you need. For now, though, enjoy Shigeru Miyamoto and The Roots as they perform the Super Mario theme live.
