SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – September 23, 2009 – Telltale Games has announced that Liz Johnston of British Columbia, Canada is the winner of the Tales of Monkey Island™ “Designer for the Day” contest. The worldwide contest attracted more than 4,400 entries and gave fans the chance to write a line of dialogue for the fourth game of the five month long Tales of Monkey Island episodic series.
Given the set up of accusing Monkey Island lead character Guybrush Threepwood of wrongdoing, Liz wrote “He dug up my perfectly good X!” Now we’re all left to wonder how this could possibly get worked into a game scenario.
Only the Nintendo related ones.

What: You have played the game! You have seen the movie! Now experience Silent Hill in the flesh! Konami Digital Entertainment Inc. announced today that Silent Hill will come alive in an all-new haunted attraction at Jeff Schleffelbein’s Sinister Pointe, a multi-haunted attraction venue in Orange County. The Silent Hill maze is a terrifying labyrinth in which attendees will experience their favorite survival horror franchise in an interactive and frightening remake of this decade-old series. The heart-pounding maze is set inside a vacant movie theater that is over 10,000 square feet of space and guarantees to put attendees up against their worst fears.
For over 15 years, Sinister Point has been known for creating the most terrifying mazes including last year’s terror-filled debut – Saw. The company has worked with some of Hollywood’s biggest names in amusements parks around the country.
On this day, a year ago, Mega Man 9 was released on the Wii. We mentioned yesterday that we’d be celebrating today with something special and we are. Unfortunately, there are no new announcements to be made (sorry, the internet), but there are prizes to be won. Specifically, one of the last Mega Man 9 press kits that we made over a year ago.
So, what’s the catch? Well, we’re kicking off a new Mega Man Tribute contest to be judged by a selected panel of Capcom employees. All you have to do is create something to show how passionate you are about Mega Man: baked goods, home-made models, music, videos, art, costumes, etc. Please be sure that it is something new that we haven’t seen before OR something that has been improved upon. Your goal should be to warm our cold, jaded hearts on the panel because here at Unity, we’ve seen tons of fan made Mega Man stuff. If you’re not sure if something has been done or not, do a quick search on the site.
15 Runner-Ups will receive codes for Mega Man 9 on your system of choice (as long as we still have the codes in stock).
