Phoenix, AZ – Video game enthusiasts from around the world will converge the weekend of Friday, August 28th for Monroe-A-Palooza 2009, the Phoenix, Arizona gaming party and fan event for the MonroeWorld network of internet sites and radio shows.

Now in it’s 2nd year, the annual show features a variety of video game themed entertainment, including opportunities to play rare vintage games on their original hardware, the hottest new games from today’s consoles, as well as VIP access to private arcades in the Phoenix area.

At the epicenter of the event is radio personality Shane R. Monroe, from which the event takes its name. Host and creator of one of the internet’s longest running radio shows, Retro Gaming Radio, Monroe is considered by many to be a pioneer in internet radio, having released his shows online long before Apple put the “pod” in “podcasting”.
