Panorama View Is Now Available On Wii U eShop
The Panorama View app is now available on the Wii U eShop. There is a demo of the app that can be downloaded which will take show off short clips of the available virtual tours. This demo provides about enough time to familiarize oneself with the extremely simple controls and really get an idea of what Panorama View is all about. Panorama is definitely worth a try, even if people just use the free demo version. The experience that Panorama View provides is pretty incredible and unlike anything I have seen before. While the concept is similar to Google Street View, Nintendo has taken the experience to the next level. Nintendo uses an on-rails guided virtual tour where users can utilize the GamePad to take in their surroundings. The available virtual tours are Bird’s-Eye View, Carnival in Rio, Double-Decker Tour, and Kyoto Sightseeing. These full length virtual tours cost $2 each and are also downloaded via the Wii U eShop. Video of the various tours can be found below.

Looks really cool. Any idea the length of the full tours vs. the demos?

I have not been able to find an exact answer to this yet but it seems like the tours range from about anywhere between 6-10 minutes long each.

Hmmm … after the initial wow factor wears off, I wonder how many they’ll sell? $2 is a not a lot by any means, but it also doesn’t sound like a lot of content either. I bet they do well at first though, as it sound like a cool application to show off to family & friends I wish the 3DS had something similar.
