PN Playlist: What We’re Playing This Week

At the dawn of another week, it’s time to check out the games we’re obsessed with right now. The holidays are fast approaching, and our playlists are growing – which games are you looking forward to this holiday season? Check out our playlist below and let us know what you’re playing right now.

Kaelyn

• Donkey Kong Country 2 (3DS): Just made it to Gloomy Gulch. I’m trying to get all of the bonus coins and DK coins during my first play through of each level. It’s difficult, but I think I can do it ;) I forgot how much more difficult this sequel is to the original DK country. It’s a great challenge!
• Earthbound (3DS): When I first played Earthbound on the Wii U virtual console I was so surprised at how quickly I fell in love. If only I would have played it sooner! It’s one of my top 5 games of all time now and I am having so much fun playing it on my 3DS. If you STILL haven’t played Earthbound you’re missing out and I HIGHLY recommend looking into it!

Alex

• Super Mario Run (mobile): So far this has proven to be an entertaining app for my phone. Road Rush has been my favorite mode to play so far.
• Pokémon GO (mobile): I’ve been doing a lot of traveling this week, so I’ve been playing Pokémon Go whenever I’ve had the chance. Still trying to catch a holiday Pikachu though.
• Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS): Now that snow has fallen in my town, I’ve made myself a snowm’am and have been collecting snowflakes so I can get ice furniture. I have also been breeding orange tulips, in the hopes I’ll be able to create a giant P-Wing flower arrangement in my town.

Harrison

• Pokémon Moon (3DS): I feel like I’m the only one out of the Pure Nintendo crew that’s been a slacker trying to finish my adventure on Alola…or it may just because I’m getting sidetracked within the world and having too much of a blast to become the world’s most mediocre Pokémon master.

Trevor

• Pokémon Sun (3DS): Why? Because I want to be different from James and the rest of the crew that’s playing Moon.

• Fire Emblem: Fates (3DS): Wow Conquest is so much more difficult, with a lot more strategy required than Birthright. And I’m only up to Chapter 8! I really need to level up some more…
• Pokémon GO (mobile): Level 23 is taking forever! I caught a few interesting monsters this week though, including Porygon and Pikachu – with a Santa hat! Ahh so cute! Oh and I finally evolved Squirtle, so I have Wartortle now :)
  
• Geki Yaba Runner Deluxe (3DS): Just started playing this runner for a review, so far I’m having fun with it, so stay tuned!
