It’s been another busy week for the Pure Nintendo team, but we’ve managed to squeeze in plenty of gaming too. So as another week draws to a close we reflect on those games that kept us inspired over the last seven days.
We’d love to know what’s on your playlist too, so share all your latest gaming delights in the comments section below.

- Splatoon (Wii U) – Trying to get my level up to 20 before the level cap gets raised :) Love all of the new levels and weapons too! This game just gets better and better every time I play.
- Splatoon – I’ve also been collecting all of the scrolls in the single-player mode.
- More Splatoon – Did I mention Splatoon twice already? Silly me, it’s fantastic, can’t play anything else right now :)

- Endless Golf (Wii U eShop) The latest title I’m reviewing for PN. Should have my thoughts posted soon.
- Xeodrifter (Wii U eShop) I got this great 3DS port for free thanks to cross-buy! On Wii U I’m enjoying it in a fresh way thanks to playing on a larger screen.

- Child of Light (Wii U): This week I downloaded Child of Light for the awesome low price of $3.75! This B E A U T I F U L game has captivated my imagination. I can’t wait to see what awaits the sweet innocent Princess Aurora in this nightmarish world she is trapped in. I haven’t made it too far yet but I’m sure I’ll have more to tell you next week!
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (3DS): I’ve also continued my Ocarina of Time 3D adventure. After completing the fire temple I’m headed to Lake Hylia to unlock the mysteries of the dreaded water temple… All I can say is, I’m not very excited.
- Splatoon (Wii U): I’ve also done my fair share of SPLATTING this week in Splatoon. Camp Tigerfish is my new favorite map, I can’t wait until the next big update!
Alex
- Metroid II: The Return of Samus: This is the only game I’ve been playing this week due to work keeping me busy, but I find myself having a lot of fun with this game despite not being the biggest Metroid fan. It’s simple, but it still has plenty to offer if you like to explore. I’d recommend the virtual console release if you’re itching for some Metroid on the go.

- Child of Light (Wii U): This is a game that’s been on my list for quite sometime & seeing available at such a cheap price, I couldn’t pass it up! I’ve barely scratched the surface with this game, but with its fantastic soundtrack, beautiful water color art style & interactive RPG gameplay, I’m ready to dive in & explore this world to the fullest!
Jemma
- Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising (Wii U VC) – continuing my quest to save the world from Black Hole!
- 4 Elements (3DS) – Downloaded this random puzzle game since it was on special, thinking it was a little like the online game, Alchemy. It’s not. And I’m not really sure I like it, but I’ll give it one more go.
- Pokémon Shuffle (3DS) – Level 183 had me very frustrated but I finally passed it this week! The levels are really starting to get difficult now so I’ve been doing more work on the special levels again, though I’ve made it to level 188 in the regular stages.

I have actually played very little this week. I’ve spent most of my time watching “Summer Games Done Quick”. If your not familiar with GDQ it is totally worth checking out. There have been some sweet Nintendo runs (Ocarina of Time in under 30 minutes…I kid you not) and there are still more to come…so go check it out!
Oh, and GDQ is a charitable event, this time raising money for Doctors Without Boarders. They’re over half a million dollars! So go check it out even more!
