Poll: EA voted worst company in America
Each year Consumerist puts together a reader voted bracket to determine the worst company in America. Out of 32 companies EA has taken the award (pleasure? Honor?) for the second year in a row. Also for a second time EA defeated Bank of America in the final round by taking a whopping 78% of the votes to be crowned (jokered?) the worst company in America.
Before the final round EA’s COO Peter Moore had this to say about EA’s rise to the top(bottom?) of the worst companies.
“Are we really the ‘Worst Company in America?’ I’ll be the first to admit that we’ve made plenty of mistakes. These include server shut downs too early, games that didn’t meet expectations, missteps on new pricing models and most recently, severely fumbling the launch of SimCity. We owe gamers better performance than this. …We can do better. We will do better. But I am damn proud of this company, the people around the globe who work at EA, the games we create and the people that play them.” – EA’s Peter Moore

All talk but no show EA. First things first, stop forcing your Origin service and allow yourself on Nintendo platforms.

EA of today is a shadow of the company I grew up with in the late 80’s through mid 90’s. Too many things to list, but ignorance regarding DLC is one.
