Pure Nintendo Interview: Renegade Kid Talks 3DS
Renegade Kid, Jools Watsham, was kind enough to answer some of my questions about the 3DS and last nights Nintendo press event.
As a Game developer what new feature released are you most excited about?
Oh, man it’s hard to choose just one 3DS feature that I’m most excited about. The 3DS is set to be my most prized gaming possession. I am extremely excited about the Virtual Console feature. I currently have my stack of Game Boy games on my desk with all of my favorites at hand, but having them all tucked neatly inside my 3DS will be much more convenient! The Thumb Pad / Slide Pad / Analog Pad, or whatever it will be called, is a feature that I am very happy to see included on the 3DS. The pad feels good, and it will provide much needed extra control.
As a gaming fan what are you most excited about?
The Resident Evil games look pretty amazing – I am really looking forward to play them. Other games that I am excited about include Kid Icarus, Street Fighter, Metal Gear Solid, and Mario Kart.
Yen to dollar the 3DS may cost $300 here in the states. Do you think it may be to high?
$300 is definitely too high for casual players. Hardcore players will also find that price high, but some will still cough it up to get their hands on the latest gadget – including me! The 3DS price must come down to $200 or below if it is to duplicate the success of the DS.
Over all impressions of the 3DS?
Love. it.
