This week on the Pure Nintendo Podcast, Jemma, Kirk, and Trev discuss the latest – and final – batch of DLC for Mario Kart 8. Which tracks do we like? Have we tried the characters, and what’s next for the series?
On our last episode, we celebrated all things Halloween. After a week off, we’re back with lots of news and games to talk about.
The first item on the agenda is the news from Nintendo that a Legend of Zelda title is in the pipeline. Not only that, the announcement also mentioned a live-action format, a huge first for the Big N. We give our thoughts on what we can expect.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder is still fresh on our minds, and we’re loving it! We hear from Trev since he hasn’t had a chance to share his thoughts with us yet. We talk about badges, powers, and more.
The main news item this week is the launch of the latest batch of DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. This is the sixth and final batch, bringing more classic tracks from the SNES, Wii, GameCube, and Tour outings. We talk about Bowser’s Castle 3, Rome Avanti, and the “new” Piranha Plant Cove. Not to mention Rainbow Road and Madrid Drive. It’s a great batch of tracks and caps off the DLC very well.
We’ve been playing a lot of games over the past two weeks, from WarioWare: Move It! to Super Crazy Rhythm Castle, plus Bish Bash Bots and the lovely Dave the Diver. We’re spoilt for choice at the moment, with a lot of great titles to keep us busy. And Mario RPG is just around the corner!
