Rachel Joining Hunk In Resident Evil: Revelations Raid Mode
Capcom announced that Resident Evil: Revelations for the 3DS would be ported to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii U earlier this year and have since been piling on the updates. The first update was the new and improved Raid Mode multiplayer and more recently Capcom announced the new Infernal Mode. Now Capcom is hitting us again with a bunch more Resident Evil: Revelation updates. These updates not only include general news regarding all versions but Capcom also has news to share regarding the Wii U version of the game.
Rachel, who made her debut in Revelations on the 3DS, will be a playable character alongside Hunk in Raid Mode. Screens of Rachel in action can be seen in the gallery below.
Capcom has also announced new enemies for Revelations. The first is called the Wall Blister pictured below.
The second is a surprise new enemy that players will encounter after reaching a certain level in Raid Mode.
Now on to the Wii U specific announcements! Those who own a Wii U can expect to find the following features in the Wii U version of Resident Evil: Revelations; using the GamePad’s screen players can access their map and weapons, the game can be played entirely on the GamePad screen via Off TV Play, and the GamePad can be substituted for a Wii U Pro Controller.
Players will also be able to post to Miiverse during Revelations. Upon dying players can lave messages on the Game Over screen for everyone to see. Also, players using Raid Mode can become the voice of enemies in a friend’s Raid Mode session using the ‘Creatures Voice’ functionality.
Capcom has really put a lot into this new revamped version of Revelations and that is refreshing to see when all to often companies will just do straight ports of games that only provide upgrades to the graphics.
Resident Evil Revelations supports Residentevil.net with online events and in-game connectivity planned for after launch. Exclusive dioramas of the game’s characters and enemies can be collected through the online service. Earn custom parts and weapons for use in Raid Mode and items for Campaign Mode.
Resident Evil Revelations will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii U across North America on May 21 and Europe on May 24.
