Popular platformer Rad Rodgers is getting set to reload, as developers Slipgate Studios bring the Radical Edition of the game to the Nintendo Switch on February 26.

Rad Rodgers harks back to the ’90s, with classic platforming involving jumping, running, and gunning across seven action-packed levels. In the game, you play the role of Rad himself, who is sucked into the gaming world.

Rad Rodgers and his foul-mouthed living game console Dusty set out on a quest that’s inspired by the likes of Commander Keen and Jazz Jackrabbit. You’ll carry weapons like Bolt Blasters and Phoenix Cannons to blast through the baddies. Dusty assists by crossing into The Pixelverse, a behind-the-scenes area that enables him to fix broken parts of the game world.

The Radical Edition brings plenty of all-new content to the game, including local co-op, versus mode and new playable friends. A few gaming icons from the ’90s have been added to the mix, like Duke Nukem, Lo Wang from Shadow Warrior, Cosmo from Cosmo’s Cosmic Adventure and Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison from Bombshell and the upcoming Ion Maiden. Voice actor Jon St. John is back to reprise his role as Duke Nukem, making it feel even more authentic.

As if that weren’t enough, there are new levels and abilities, extra mini-games, a new overworld, and tons of new secrets, collectables and unlockables.

Looks like there’s plenty to keep us entertained in Rad Rodgers: Radical Edition. The game will hit the Switch on February 26.
