Some of you may remember the surprisingly controversial post we made back in April that explained why a rumor list of E3 Games could be possible? (HERE) I decided to relive that post and see how close the rumors were.

Nintendo:
– Pikmin 3 (playable, launch title) – Miyamoto talked about Pikmin 3 at the Nintendo roundtable. Did sound like it could be a Wii U launch title.
– Pokemon RPG (video, launch or near launch title) – Fail
– Super Mario Bros title (playable) –Yes for the 3DS.
– Star Fox (playable)- Yes, for the 3DS.
– Smash Bros 4 (playable)- Mentioned but not playable.
– Mario Kart (video) – Yes, and Playable for the 3DS.
– Zelda (tech demo) – Yes, and it was amazing.
– Metroid (tech demo) – Sadly did not happen.
– New IP (video)

Rockstar Games:
– Red Dead Redemption 2 (video) – Fail
– Grand Theft Auto “New Title” (video) – I do believe it was shown off somewhere during E3. Rockstar did come out and say later that the game is pretty far along.

Ubisoft:
– Rayman Legends (playable) – Yes
– Red Steel 3 (playable) – Ubisoft did mention this title, but not in a good way.
– New IP (video) – Yes, Killer Freaks from Outer Space for the Wii U.

SquareEnix:
– Final Fantasy XV- A lot of talk about the game, even for the Wii U, but nothing much was shown off.

Capcom:
– Resident Evil (video) – Yes, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, playable as well.
– Megaman (video) – Fail, not even Mega Man Legends 3.
– Monster Hunter (video) – Fail

EA: Yes, Yes, and Yes.
– NBA ’13 (video)
– NFL ’13 (video)
– NHL ’13 (video)

Activision:
– Modern Warfare 3 (video) – Yes, and not a big surprise that it was. Also it wasn’t playable on the show floor. Only video was being shown.

Konami:
– Metal Gear title (video) – Yes, Metal Gear: Peace Walker was announced and shown off.
– Winning Eleven (video) – Yes

Namco:
– Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (playable) – Yes and playable.
– Soul Calibur 5 (video) Yes, maybe playable, I do not remember.
– Pacman Rebirth (video) –Fail

This list was surprising close. Even closer than I thought it would be. I wish we could take credit for this list, we would be geniuses. Sadly we did not come up with the list, we just tried to justify these games being shown off. If whoever created this list was pulling things out of their butt…great pulling..if it was based on facts… I wonder were the other games are?
