Nintendo may have made a mistake, briefly, mentioning Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS at their E3 2011 conference. Right after it was mentioned many fans began to wonder when the game was coming. Soon after the press conference Mr. Sakurai told people that he had not started on the next Smash Bros. yet. He was waiting to finish up with Kid Icarus. With Kid Icarus still not out. Mr Sakurai is still telling us to be patient.

“I can’t really say anything until things settle down with Kid Icarus… And a lot of it will depend on the team that I end up assembling for Smash Bros. It may take a while, but I think your patience will be rewarded.”
