Retro gamers (especially those of the NEOGEO variety) better prepare for a brawl; SNK GALS’ FIGHTERS—a 2D fighter from 2000—has been released for the Nintendo Switch.

In this versus fighting game, eleven of “SNK’s wondrous heroines” will duke it out pixel-style for with the goal of obtaining the K Talisman and becoming Queen of Fighters. But it’s all not a fists and violence. The game also features a lighthearted story with plenty of comical interactions to players engaged.

SNK Gals’ Fighters also features:

  • Three hidden characters to unlock (just who is Miss X?)
  • A Training Mode to help players reach the top
  • Tabletop and handheld multiplayer

Considering this game hasn’t been available since its original release 20 years ago, it’s quite a treat for retro gamers. And seriously, you’ve got to dig that controller within a controller design.
