Sony: Wii is an impulse buy
Sony America tried to insult the Wii but calling it an ‘impulse buy’. Dave Karraker (Sony spokesperson) says that the ps3 is far more powerful and should be considered as being in a different class than the Wii. “Wii could be considered an impulse buy more than anything else” he said, and then further claimed that the demand was so high for the Wii because Nintendo is shipping less stock. Nintendo came back and said that they are shipping at least as many Wiis as Sony is PS3s.
I would love to know what is going through that man’s head. He must be crazy. I’m sure he thought that they must be shipping less because there aren’t any at stores for people to buy, they are always sold out where as people can go buy PS3s at most stores they go to. But i wonder if he has considered that the reason there are PS3s everywhere is because 1st people don’t want to pay $600 for a gaming console, 2nd the Wii is ultimately better (a little bias here i know), both points lead to 3rd PEOPLE AREN’T BUYING THE PS3.
anyway interesting read…kinda made me laugh
