Nintendo of America announced via Twitter that a major update is coming to Super Mario Run later this week. The biggest news is that the update will coincide with the game’s release on Android devices.
The update to Version 2.0.0 will also bring with it several new features, including new characters and an additional free level (World 1-4), which was previously only playable with the paid version. There are apparently more changes to be announced, so stay tuned for further information.
Super Mario Run was released on iOS devices last December, giving it a three month window of exclusivity. Eager Android downloaders can pre-register for a notification of the release.
