Super Smash Bros. Super eShop Sale (Europe and Australia)
With Super Smash Bros. for 3DS getting ready to hit handhelds on October 3, Nintendo of Europe and Nintendo of Australia have announced a super-sized sale for the eShop. The sale celebrates the huge cast of Super Smash Bros. characters by allowing players to try their signature games for a nicely discounted price.
The news, coming via an official press release, explains that the sale is split into two parts: new challengers and veteran fighters, over two weeks. Titles range across both 3DS and Wii U platforms, and include full games as well as Virtual Console titles.
Here’s the full list of titles for the “new challengers” sale, which runs on the eShop from August 15-21:

To celebrate the legacy of many popular fighters on the Super Smash Bros. roster, Nintendo also announces today that over the span of two weeks in August there will be Nintendo eShop discounts of up to 50% on more than 25 downloadable retail and Virtual Console titles on Nintendo 3DS and 2DS as well as Wii U. The Super Smash Bros. Character Sale: New Challengers on Nintendo eShop from 14th – 21st August** features [the following] titles starring new challengers from the Super Smash Bros. roster.
From 21st – 28th August, the Super Smash Bros. Character Sale: Veteran Fighters will let players get reacquainted with characters returning to the Super Smash Bros. series. To find out which titles will go on sale that week, stay tuned to Nintendo eShop, the Super Smash Bros. Facebook page or the Nintendo website. With over 25 games on Nintendo eShop on sale during August, it’s a perfect time to meet the colourful cast of Super Smash Bros ahead of 3rd October.
The news coincides with the announcement of the Super Smash Bros. 3DS XL bundle, also for those lucky European gamers only at this stage.

I hope “Europe” also means Australia for that 3DS. I’m on edge just thinking about it not releasing worldwide.
