Thank you for the support
I know Justin has already gone around and done some of his thanks for this past weekend. I wanted to take some time to get my few things in as well. This last weekend we held a 48-hour marathon, not just for some random charity, but also in honor and support of a close high-school friend. It meant a lot to us for all the support we received from the donation, viewers, players and the gaming world as a whole. Some of the outside world may see gamers as selfish, and possibly violent group of people. What little do they know that we are a community that supports each other. Yes we are difference between Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft fan boys, but when it is all said and done, we are all still gamers. On that note I have to say that Nintendo fans have the best community and support.
I would like to send out a special thanks to everyone who donated and played against us. If it wasn’t for all of you who participated, the marathon would not have been a success. Second I would like to thank all the sites that supported and helped get the word out there; Macdaddynews, 3dsbuzz, Myvideogamenews and all the sites that posted up our press release. Thank you all for the support. It is sites like yours that makes us all feel like we are part of a community.
Now all the things I am thankful for during the event.
-My roommates putting up with our 48-hour marathon.
– Coffee: Oh how you made our lives easier.
-Teddy Grahams: The unofficial sponsor of our gaming events.
– Girlfriends and wives for putting up and supporting our adventures. Also a big thanks to Katie Sharp for her support with keeping us going and playing games so we could take a break.
– Best Buy Chattanooga
– Nintendo for creating a lot of fun games to play.
– Live Stream: We had a few problems but it never seems to let us down.
– Macbooks for helping us run the event through them.
Once again thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart. You are all the best. The donation plug-in will still be live until September 1st. If you like you could still donate there.
