Link’s first adventure on the Wii U, coming by way of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, will be priced at $49.99, at least according to the game’s listing on popular online retailer Amazon. This price is $10 cheaper than the typical major Nintendo releases on Wii U thus far.

Nintendo announced earlier this year they will be remaking the classic Wind Waker game in high-definition to appease fans of the franchise as they await the next generation Link Saga on the Wii U. The company is also releasing this title to provide gamers who didn’t get an opportunity to play Wind Waker a chance to relive this classic title.

In addition to revealing the price of the game, the Amazon listing states there will be a more challenging difficulty level added to the remake. This should give experienced Wind Waker players more of a reason to go out and get a copy of the game once it releases this  October. Nintendo incorporated a more difficulty level in the past in the version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, dubbed Master Quest. The irony is Master Quest was first released as a pre-order bonus for the original release of the Wind Waker. So, it is only fitting that Wind Waker now receive its own added difficulty level in its new iteration on the Wii U.

Nintendo has already confirmed the Wii U GamePad will be put to good use, allowing gamers to manage Link’s inventory of weapons and other items. Gamers will also have be able to access maps via the GamePad.

Another unique feature of the Wind Waker HD remake is the addition of Miiverse messages. Players will be able to write up and share messages with the community by sending bottles into the ocean. They will also be able to pick up bottles that wash up on the island and read other players’ messages.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker was originally released on the Nintendo Gamecube in 2003 and it received very favorable scores. The title was one of the main attractions of the Gamecube. Fast-forward 10 years to the present and the Wind Waker looks to be a main attraction yet again, this time on the Wii U.
