Two WiiWare Reviews
I have finally got my wireless internet up and running, and I have spent today playing a few WiiWare games. Check out my early reviews of Lost Winds and Defend your Castle below:
Lost Winds- 6/10:
The Good:
- Unique control scheme. It is pretty fun using the Wind to move Toku around.
- It has a Zelda meets Zak & Wiki feel.
The Bad:
- Story is kind of slow, (to be expected in a WiiWare game, and the size limit)
- Probably the biggest thing is not much replay value, and its not that hard.
The game has its faults, and it is a good first try. Even with its faults, you will find it hard to put it down.
Defend Your castle: 7/10
The Good:
- If you liked the flash version, you will like this one.
- Multi-player is very fun.
- High replay value.
The Bad:
- What’s good about it is also bad. It is pretty much the same thing as the flash version, and it can get old fast.
The reason for the higher score is Defend your Castle’s replay value. If you enjoy the game and you have a few minutes before work or between classes it is fun to throw a few guys around for a few minutes. Its not bad for 500 Wii points.

Only a 6 for Lost Winds? I would give them more than that considering it was only 10 bucks. You get a game with some cool music, fun controls and a decent story. The shear originality of the game should bump it up to at least a 7. Comparing the game to full games like Zelda would make it look like poo, but it is a simple, fun WiiWare game.

You are looking to much into to this. First comparing it to Zelda and Zak and Wiki. It has the mystical spirits, and the searching for parts to complete something to defeat evil, like in Zelda. For Zak and Wiki, it kinda has that style, and the puzzle solving aspect. If i took account of cost, that would be a positive foe every game, but cost really has nothing to do with the quality of a game. Also a 6 is not a bad score. It means its an average game. Meaning its not a bad game, but not a amazing one either.
