Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers to Release on Switch
While it doesn’t seem like it will be a launch title, Capcom is releasing another iteration in the infamous SNES original, Street Fighter II. This new title, Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers will contain the features of previous versions, plus the addition of Evil Ryu and Violent Ken.
This version of Ryu has succumbed to the Satsui no Hado and is now obsessed with fighting in order to prove he is the strongest. His former honorable self has been purged, allowing him to enjoy absolute power and embrace an unquenchable bloodthirst for battle.
Violent Ken is the result of M. Bison kidnapping and brainwashing Ken, enhancing his abilities with Psycho Power and twisting his brotherly rivalry with Ryu into hatred. Violent Ken is more ruthless, aggressive, and fearless with moves that feature purple flames instead of his signature fire.
Players can play using in TV and tablet mode. Players can also use each Joy-Con as a fully functioning controller. Finally, players can link up two Switches and play that way. This version also comes with a new mode, in which two players can team up against the computer.
Capcom has hinted at new single and multiplayer modes, and they will be announced at a later date.
Currently, no information about a concrete release date or price has been announced, but we will keep you updated. Nintendo TreeHouse also spent some time with the game, which you can see here.
