Utah 3DS StreetPass Holding Animal Crossing Party on Saturday June 29^th

Salt Lake City, UT – Come join Utah 3DS StreetPass on Saturday, June 29^th for an Animal Crossing Party to celebrate the release of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, the fourth installment in the popular Animal Crossing franchise, now on the Nintendo 3DS. The party will be held from 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM in the Auditorium of the Murray Public Library.

For those who own a copy of the game, this will be a great opportunity to get those most out of your Animal Crossing experience by getting every type of fruit in the game, playing mini-games on the island for medals, or even trading with others to get that rare item you’ve been anxious to get like the last piece to Samus’ Armor! You’ll be able to invite 3 other people at a time into your town, explore other peoples’ islands to see how they manage their town, and swap friend codes to continue to connect with new people you meet when the party is over. Also, you can StreetPass with everyone in the group to get a copy of their how in your Happy Home Showcase, giving you an opportunity to check out homes and but items and furniture that you find.

Don’t have a copy of the game? This will be a great opportunity to get StreetPasses for all of your games, including StreetPass Mii Plaza so you can finally get the rest of the puzzle pieces you need (especially those rare pink pieces) and to free your Mii and collect all of the hats in Find Mii and Find Mii 2. There will also be many people that will be wanting to do some quests in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, race in Mario Kart 7, or even set up a battle for Kid Icarus: Uprising!

We will have fun activities for everyone who comes to the party; for those who own Animal Crossing: New Leaf, we will have a Bug-Off and Fishing Contest with a prize for first and second place winners in each competition. For everyone, including those who don’t own Animal Crossing, we will be selling fortune cookies for $2.00 apiece, with a fortune that you can bring to us and win a prize. Prizes vary, and range from a bag of candy to a Nintendo 3DS or Wii U game. Everyone who buys a fortune cookie will receive a prize. Limit 2 fortune cookies per person.

The schedule for activities is as follows:

• 12:30 to 1:00 – Set up, wait for everyone to arrive
• 1:00 to 2:00 – Bug off and Fishing Contest will be help
• 2:00 to 3:00 – Selling fortune cookies and giving out prizes.
• 3:00 – 3:30 – Wrapping up, taking things down

Still haven’t bought an official Utah 3DS StreetPass T-shirt? We still have shirts available in a range of sizes. Small through XLarge are $10 and 2X-4X are $12. We can accept cash as well as a credit or debit card with our Square reader.
