Ever wondered whether Mario Kart could work with over 100 racers? YouTube user Hat-loving Gamer has posted a very interesting video that depicts just this – a crazy, 101-player race on SNES title, Super Mario Kart.

The video plays through the first track of the classic SNES title, following Toad through five laps. The race becomes more and more chaotic as we see different characters drive past – and even a car-jacking – as Toad races to the end.

After the race, you can see all the characters driving by in a neat line, in the same way they did in the original game. Everyone is here, from Raccoon Mario to Sonic the Hedgehog. There are even Tetris blocks racing. It’s pretty darn cool.
