What Mario could look like in the new 3D Mario Wii U Game
As I’m looking over the footage and media from the Nintendo Direct this morning, I wonder if we may have been given our closest look at what Mario will look like in the upcoming 3D Mario Wii U game. I’ve gathered some screenshots from the new Mario & Sonic game and Super Mario Galaxy 2 for the Wii for comparison.

It may be hard to judge from these screenshots at their current resolution, but if you look at the full resolution version of the Mario & Sonic screenshot, I’ll think you’ll notice a significant upgrade in Mario’s look (both in terms of polygon count and anti-aliasing). While this may not be exactly what he looks like in the new 3D Mario Wii U game, it’s at least a glimpse at the level of detail they can achieve with his character model on the Wii U.
Just a fun thing to think about in the weeks leading up to E3.

yeah i’ll guess that the new mario will be similar to this but with better lightning and textures aplied to the model.
