While the Wii U seems kind of short on racing games at the moment until more are released Codemasters might bring some of their racers to the system.  Grid 2 is reportedly releasing next summer and that leaves enough time to announce other versions of the game, like maybe a Wii U version.  Joystiq recently spoke with Grid 2’s Associate Producer, Iain Smith, regarding the possibility of some Wii U ports.  Iain Smith says, “It’s not being ruled out certainly. And certainly [that applies] across all Codemasters titles. Some platforms are more appropriate for certain types of games, but we just have to make decisions as and when they’re appropriate. We can’t say too much more at the moment.”  Being a fan of the racing genre of games, I really hope that Codemasters does decide to bring Grid 2 to the Wii U.
