Based on what I’m hearing around the web, you either love or hate the box art. I personally think that it’s engaging and colorful, but it might not appeal much to others.

I agree, box art is something you either love or hate. In my opinion I usually like the box art as long as it fits the game. In this case I believe the art fits the game fairly well.

don’t understand how anyone can hate the box art. I think it’s beautiful (coming from someone who illustrates). The crayon look perfectly matches the visuals of the games so it’s very accurate and extremely cute! Love it.

I have to agree with you. This new title will end up being the first Yoshi’s Island game I have ever played. Yes, it’s embarrassing, but I’m sure it’s going to be a great one. Also, I really enjoy box art. I always like going through my game box arts every once in a while, because it always brings back memories. So as you can tell, box arts mean a lot to me!

I personally never really hated box art, but as Nintengeek185 said I read a lot of stuff online where someone says they hate box art. I can’t think of one game that I do not like the Box art for. I also like the box art. Now there is some box art that I have questioned in the past such as the Megaman 2 box art where he is holding what appears to be a pistol. However I have read an article where the artist explains why Megaman is doing so.
