We hope you’re enjoying your weekend, we’re using our time to catch up on our gaming playlists. Any Nintendo fan knows there’s simply not enough time to play everything, but we do our best, playing a diverse range of games from RPGs and collecting ‘mon, to arcade shooters and tactical warfare.

Check out our playlist below and let us know which games you’re playing right now.

Alex

  • Pokémon Bank (3DS): In my excitement for Pokemon Sun and Moon, I’ve been getting ready by storing one of every Pokemon in my bank so I can have a complete Pokedex very quickly once the new games are released. For me, Pokemon is serious business!
  • Pokémon X (3DS): Sometimes I like to hunt for shiny Pokemon (A shiny Pokemon has a unique color scheme and are considered very rare for those who don’t know) when I get bored. So whilst watching tv, I ran into a shiny Phantump in my friend safari. Score! My next target shall be a shiny Hawlucha. Wish me luck!

  • Dual Core (Wii U eShop): I’ve been playing this for review, and having a bunch of multiplayer fun. Arcade style run & gun shooting!
  • Zoda’s Revenge: Star Tropics II (Wii U Virtual Console): I spent a buck to transfer this to the Wii U. Restore points make it so much less frustrating. I’m now on the final chapter.

  • Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U): It’s helped me get through my past three weeks without internet.

  • Fire Emblem: Fates (3DS): Yes after months of waiting my latest Fire Emblem journey has begun! I’m absolutely loving this game, I’m only a couple of hours in so far, just finished chapter 5, which took a few goes actually. The cut-scenes are simply superb, the characters complex, and the tactical gameplay as fun and challenging as ever, I can’t recommend this game enough!
  • Lego City Undercover (Wii U): I’m not sure this will ever leave my list now that my little man has discovered it (he’s 5 and obsessed with Lego). Harrison actually restarted the game just to play one part again and drive the large police truck. Anyway it’s on MY list because I have to help from time to time, and honestly I love it too and even though I finished the story mode years ago, I never quite collected everything. I lost my save file though .. should I start again like Harrison??
  • Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge (3DS eShop): This free title makes great use of amiibos by unlocking character-specific levels and abilities. It also happens to be pretty fun :)
  • Epic Word Search Collection 2 (3DS eShop): A more relaxed puzzle game, I’ve been playing this for a review and quite enjoying it.
