The latest sales data from Japan is in, and this week we see Yokai Watch 2 retain its number one spot for the seventh consecutive week, beating several newcomers on competing Sony platforms.

Half of the top 20 software titles consist of 3DS games, with two Wii U entries returning from last week, namely Hyrule Warriors and Mario Kart 8, which made the top 10 at sixth and eighth position, respectively .

In hardware, it’s a very disappointing week of sales, with numbers dropping right across the board (with one odd exception being the XBox 360). Unfortunately for Nintendo, the 3DS and Wii U saw the biggest drops of all, although they do still retain first and third positions, respectively.
