Cambridge, Mass. – November 23rd, 2011 –Harmonix today announced that tracks from Dream Theater, Opeth, Trivium, a classic hit from Starship, and a Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrade for a popular Jane’s Addiction songwill be available beginning November 29th in theRock BandMusic Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Wii.

Rock Band provides the deepest and best selection of artists, songs and albums through the Rock Band music platform, which features more than 900 artists and more than 3,000* tracks via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks atwww.rockband.com/songs). Rock Band’s gigantic music library dwarfs that of any other rhythm video game on the market. Rock Band DLC Additions for Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 system and Wii

First up, Dream Theater makes their long-awaited return with a track off of their 11thstudio album, A Dramatic Turn of Events, released earlier this year. “On the Backs of Angels” is an epic track, nearing almost nine minutes, with multiple time changes woven throughout this intricate metal composition. Fans looking to go a bit deeper can upgrade “On the Backs of Angels” to Pro Guitar and Pro Bass for $0.99.

Opeth’s “Ghost of Perdition” from their critically acclaimed 2005 album, Ghost Reveries, will also be available in the pack. The three-song pack is rounded out by Trivium’s “In Waves” from the band’s latest record of the same name.

Starship’s ‘80s classic, “We Built This City,” will also be available on the Rock BandMusic Store. Off of 1985’s Knee Deep in the Hoopla, the track – with its memorable, sing-along chorus – reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

A Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrade will also be available for Jane’s Addiction’s “Jane Says,” a track from the band’s first studio album, 1998’s Nothing’s Shocking.

Downloadable content for Wii™ is purchased via the in-game Rock Band Music Storeusing Wii Points™ purchased through the Wii™ Shop Channel and can be downloaded to the system memory or to an SD card for additional storage.  The tracks stream directly from the SD card for seamless play.
