18 Minutes of Mission Footage From Metroid Prime: Federation Force

Actually, I was willing to give it a shot when it first announced. However, it was the latest direct when I felt they finally showed gameplay that really sold it as a Prime-style game. Thing is, there was always a back story about things that happened around Samus, when she wasn’t involved, so this seems to be the first game to work some of that in. My main concern wasn’t as much the lack of Samus, for this one, but whether it would have gameplay that was familiar enough to get into. I’m all for shaking up the formula, but I think most people either want a classic 2d or a Prime style of gameplay. It hasn’t had enough games of either to outstay its welcome, yet.

So, the last Direct, I felt really helped. Especially when they showed the visor view, and stuff that looked like it’ll play a lot like the GameCube Metroids.
