We told you earlier this month about the 2019 Pokémon Europe International Championships, and now North American gamers know when and where they’ll be battling, too.

This past Friday, the Pokémon Company International announced two tournaments to be held Stateside; the North America International Championships will take place June 21–23 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, OH, and the Pokémon World Championships will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. on August 16–18.

The North America International Championships are open to players worldwide with no residency restrictions. The tournament will provide Pokémon TCG and video game competitors their last opportunity to score the Championship Points needed to earn an invitation to the 2019 World Championships.

That tournament, then, will see the top Pokémon TCG and video game players in the world converge on Washington D.C. to compete for the title of World Champion and their share of the $500,000+ prize pool. More than just a tournament, however, the Pokémon World Championships are a celebration of the game’s hardworking players and the supportive community around them.

Of course, you don’t have to participate in the battles to visit and have a good time. Spectator badges will be available, allowing fans to see all the battles in person and participate in side events throughout the event.

More details on the events in Columbus and Washington, D.C. can be found at www.pokemon.com/us/play-pokemon.
