Indie Developer Helix Games just announced their next Wii U eShop release, Escape From Flare Industries.  It’s a puzzle game that involves saving friends, navigating traps, taking on bosses, and ultimately escaping.

While screenshots are in short supply, some of the story details have been shared.  The following was taken from the press release …

“So, there are these jerks who run a factory called Flare Industries who locked up and try to sell this slime-kinda guy called Splat. Splat doesn’t really like being locked in a cage and wants to do his own thing, so he’s trying to escape. He’s gotta navigate the factory, solve puzzles, rescue his fellow slime homies, and ideally would like to not die. Think you can help him?

In “Escape From Flare Industries”, it’s up to you to help Splat get out of the factory. Jump over acid, avoid spikes, rescue your friends, collect all the flasks, and fight the boss!”

The game certainly sounds like the most ambitious title yet from the indie studio.  Check out the trailer above, and share some early impressions with us if you like.  Pure Nintendo should have more information before long, as the developer has said the game “hits the Wii U eShop soon… hopefully!”
