Rumor: Downloadable GB/GBA Games Coming To DSiware (Update)
There are a few reports flying around that supposedly came from Nintendo DSi events this weekend. According to these reports you will be able to download GB and GBA games straight to your sd card from the DSiware channel and play them straight from it. This would be really cool and solve any problem we had with the DSi for not having the GB/GBA slots. I am sure this will be something that Mr. Iwata talks about during his keynote if this is true.
Update:
I just want to add something more to this rumor that will make it even more juice. Rumors are flying around now that SEGA would like to get it long lost Gamer Gear games on the DSi. I hated the game gear but I did enjoy some of it’s games.

I’m with ya. This would make all the people who don’t want to miss out on the gba slot very very happy! And would make the DSi a for sure must buy for a lot of people

yes! there are some GB games i’d love to download and play again. i just hope they aren’t too expensive.

@starfan, yeah, that would be pretty sweet and I have a feeling we’ll something about that tomorrow from Iwata’s keynote. Nintendo still hasn’t addressed their ‘solution’ for the Wii’s storage problem yet which was merely to download straight to the SD card. But even then I think we still had to play them from the Wii’s memory. Hopefully they’ve scratched that idea and done something even better :)
