To the delight of many, Isabelle and her friends are due to arrive on Nintendo Switch in 2019. In the latest Nintendo Direct, Isabelle was initially announced as a fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in a teasing move that built up an abundance of suspense. It even smeared a sense of doubt for a few moments over whether Animal Crossing for Switch was actually going to be announced at all.
Any doubt was eradicated though once Bell-hungry Tom Nook had sorted his electricity issues. It was finally confirmed that an Animal Crossing entry, was in fact on its way, the first main game in the series since the addictive New Leaf on the 3DS back in late 2012.
