This week on the Pure Nintendo Podcast, Jemma and Kirk delve into a long list of news and games, from Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Complete to The Thing Remastered.

Last week, we continued our discussion on consoles, discussing the latest sales numbers and whether the Switch could become the best-selling console of all time. This week, we focus on a range of news items across mobile, music, DLC, and more.

We kick off with a look at the lagtest mobile offering from Nintendo. Animal Crossing Pocket Cmap Complete is the, well, compete version of the 2017 mobile outing. The original is no longer playable, but this package comes with a one-off price tag and all seven yesrs worth of content from the original outing.

Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch Online collection continues to grow. This week we’re privy to the original NES version of Tetris, which is available from 12 December, along with Donkey Kong Land III, which is out now. Jemma has tested out Donkey Kong Land III and gives her thoughts on this Game Boy outing.

This leads to a fun discussion on Nintendo Music, since it led to a Donkey Kong-inspired search on the app. While the Game Boy titles aren’t listed (yet), the SNES equivalents are present and accounted for. And they’re terrific. Plus Splatoon 2 was added during the week, so we talk about this addition, too.

We also talk about Balatro again, this time in the form of merchandise. Kirk gives a tease of the new The Thing Switch outing, leading to a look back at the history of the game and franchise.

It’s December, and that means we’re closing in on Christmas. We talk about our Christmas gift wishlists, and the games we’d like to receive for Christmas. What’s on your wishlist? Let us know!

We also delve into the games we’re playing, including Super Spy Raccon, a retro throwback to the glory days of the ’80s.
