If you’re still playing Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp on your mobile device (or looking for a solid reason to start it up again), then welcome to Happy Homeroom. Available now through a major update from Nintendo, Happy Homeroom is a mini-game that allows players to showcase their interior design skills.

As you’d expect from an Animal Crossing game, it’s not as simple as visiting Pier 1 and tossing some candles and throw pillows about. Rather, players will attend Happy Homeroom classes and use furniture already available to win over Lottie and the other judges. Pass class to increase your HH Rank and acquire items such as HH material which is used to Golden Series furniture. Everything’s a process.

You will need HH vouchers (which replenish over time) and be at least at Camp Manager level 6 to access Happy Homeroom.

Other updates in the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp update include:

  • New Local Produce – Grapes, lemons, and lychees are the newest local fruit to be added to the game. While each player has a Local Produce tree in both their Lost Lure Creek and Breezy Hollow locations, they will need to make use of other players’ Market Boxes to obtain the other two regional fruit.
  • Blathers’s Treasure Trek – A new mini-game that involves rolling a die on a map that resembles a board game. Treasure maps earned in this mini-game will reward bells or crafting materials. Special maps will even invite new animals to your campsite!
  • Pete’s Parcel Service – A new and handy way to level up your friendship with animals. By selecting this service, Pete will complete animal requests for you without you needing to visit their locations. What a nice pelican!
