An anime feature film based on the popular Bayonetta franchise is heading to North America. The movie, titled Bayonetta: Bloody Fate, was released in Japan last year and will be screening in the US once new voice actors have been cast.

The film, produced by Japanese animation house Gonzo, features an amnesia-suffering Bayonetta, who is on a quest to regain her memory.

There is no release date for the film but director Fuminori Kizaki will be at the Anime Expo in Los Angeles this year to showcase the movie. In the meantime, check out the Japanese trailer for Bayonetta: Bloody Fate below and let us know if you look forward to an English version in the near future.

Bayonetta 2 will be released exclusively on the Wii U this October in the US and Europe, and will be packaged with the original Bayonetta.
