Live musical performances have always been a fun part of the holidays. This year, Nintendo will be making spirits bright by bringing Wii Music to your neighborhood. This weekend, Nov. 22-23 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Staten Island Mall in Staten Island, NY, holiday shoppers will be able to see first-hand how Wii can be turned into a musical instrument with Wii Music. A family of street musicians will be on hand with Wii Music to demonstrate the 50 different tunes and more than 60 instruments available in the game, from melodic steel drums to soaring trumpets.To play Wii Music, players simply use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers to make the same motion you would with a real instrument: strum a guitar or pound on the keys of a piano. The game challenges players to transform their improvised notes into great music.

To celebrate the launch of Tetris® Party, the newest official Tetris® game on WiiWare™, Tetris Online, Inc. today announced that it will host a series of tournaments beginning December 1, 2008. The tournaments will give Tetris Party players the chance to compete for Wii Points™.
This means that now is the time for you and your readers to begin practicing your Tetris stacking, puzzle solving, and Tetrimino racing skills to boost your chances of winning!
The first tournament will comprise four rounds, featuring four unique variants of Tetris Party—Marathon, Field Climber, Shadow, and Stage Racer. At the end of each round, players will receive a rank and confirmation code from the game. (See additional details below.)
