ControlThink introduces ThinkRemote Community Edition, software that offers consumers access to Windows SideShow content from electronic devices found in nearly every home. Consumers can now access Windows SideShow content such as weather, stocks, photos and more with their everyday electronic devices including Apple’s iPhone, Nintendo DS and Windows Mobile phones.

“With ThinkRemote Community Edition, information is available at consumers’ fingertips like never before. Users can change the music on their PC from their cell phone, review stock performance at their bedside, or control their smart home from anywhere in the world. The possibilities are limitless,” said Chris Walker, ControlThink Chief Technology Officer.

Previously, the ThinkRemote platform made it simple and inexpensive for electronics and PC accessory manufacturers to create wireless Windows SideShow-enabled remotes. This new Community Edition also adds compatibility for:

  • Windows Mobile phones
  • iPhone and iPod Touch
  • Playstation Portable (PSP)
  • Playstation 3 (PS3)
  • Nintendo DS
  • Nintendo Wii
  • Web browsers
  • Other mobile phones

ControlThink is now inviting consumers to sign up to test out the new software at http://www.controlthink.com/thinkremote/. Invitations will be awarded on an ongoing basis. Select participants will also receive access to the ThinkConnectTM service for use with the software at no charge during the initial test period.
