I am pretty sure you have heard someone say this to you, either your parents, teachers, or some one else. “Turn off the video game and read a book.” Studies show that kids aren’t reading books as much as they used too. Does that mean they aren’t reading? According to the article, linked below, and your truly,  Me, James, think that kids are reading but in different ways.  For example Zelda games are full or reading, and Phantom hourglass has kids writing and taking notes. On top of using deductive reasoning, and problem solving skills. I am not saying kids don’t need to read books.  In fact there is not substitute for a good book. I just got done last month reading a great book called “Lord of the Flies.” But to say that our kids aren’t reading, is false. Kids are reading, just in a different way.
