London, UK – 5 November 2008 – Football Director DS, the first football management game for the hugely popular Nintendo DS, has selected Jeremy Lynch the renowned UK football freestyler who recently appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, to be the face of the advertising campaign. To celebrate the launch of Football Director DS, Jeremy Lynch will attempt to break not one, not two, but three football related Guinness World Records.

Football Director DS allows total control over each of the 92 English & Welsh Football League and Premier League teams. The game has an intuitive, stylus-driven interface, packed with plenty of tactical and strategic depth but is still easy to pick up and play. Football Director DS will be available in all major high street retail outlets on November 28th 2008.

Jeremy’s originality, personality and “freestyle football skills” were selected to help promote the football management game. He will attempt to break the current Guinness World Records for:
• Football spinning on forehead – duration – 19.96 seconds
• Longest time controlling a football with the soles – 6:01 minutes
• Most football rolls across the forehead – 50

The three Guinness World Records will be attempted at the Crystal Palace training ground in November and broadcast on TV, details to be confirmed.

“I love football and am delighted to be part of this campaign. This is the first time I have ever attempted a Guinness World record, let alone three of them. I am looking forward to breaking the records, which I know will be a challenge and will require a lot of practice. I am excited that I get to show off my skills in support of a great game.”

As the face of the advertising campaign, Jeremy Lynch will demonstrate his skills in a series of print, online and broadcast adverts including Sky Sports Football, Sky Sports News, Soccer AM, as well as a selection of the main football press and club websites including Crystal Palace.

Oliver Birch, Pinnacle Marketing Manager said “As a finalist in Britain’s Got Talent and featuring in the Sky Sports TV commercial for the 2008/2009 season, Jeremy’s track record makes him the ideal person & perfect role model to be fronting our campaign. His ability to have total control over the football in addition to him being young and vibrant, aligns well with passion and spirit of the Football Director DS game.”

“We will showcase Jeremy’s skills through a series of “Total Control” skill tutorial videos which will be hosted on the Football Director DS website, www.footballdirector.com and other football related sites.”
