Nintendo is bringing Mario to the Wii U with the release of New Super Mario Bros U.  In this new Super Mario game Nintendo has added some new game modes, including Boost Mode and Boost Rush Mode.  Boost Mode is where up to four player play with Wii Remotes and control different character on the TV screen.  An extra player using the GamePad adds additional blocks into the level by tapping on the GamePad’s screen.  These blocks can be used to help players around the level and avoid obstacles or they can be used to block a players progress.  In Boost Rush Mode the concept is the same as Boost Mode but the screen auto scrolls.  Not only does the screen scroll automatically but it speeds up as you collect coins throughout the level.  You don’t have to worry about the scroll hitting warp speed though because there is a maximum speed that you will hit after a while.  To see an exclusive Game Informer trailer of Boost Rush Mode hit the jump.  You can also see Nintendo’s New Super Mario Bros U trailer below.
