Well, that is another Nintendo presentation in the books… At the end of the Super Mario Maker 2 Direct on May 15th, 2019 Nintendo announced another special offer apart of the online service, and the biggest one to date: Nintendo Switch game vouchers. Keep in mind you only have till July 31st, 2019 to purchase these vouchers, sadly.
You can redeem the vouchers for digital versions of select games on Nintendo.com or Nintendo eShop on your system. Vouchers are valid for a year after you purchase, so you could use one voucher now and save another for an upcoming title—or redeem them both right away!
The voucher bundle costs $99.99 USD and provides two games from a select list (all of the first party and second party games on the system):
- Super Mario Maker 2
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- 1-2-Switch
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Splatoon 2
- Super Mario Oddyesy
- Super Mario Party
- Pokémon: Let’s Go titles
- Octopath Traveler
- Bayonetta 1
- Bayonetta 2
- New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
- Mario Tennis Aces
- Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
- Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido
- Go Vacation
- The World Ends with You: Final Remix
- Yoshi’s Crafted World
- Kirby’s Star Allies
- Dragon Quest Builders
- Pokkén Tournament DX
- Fitness Boxing
- Fire Emblem Warriors
- Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition
- Xenoblade Chronicles 2
- ARMS
Basically you will be saving $20 if you choose the sixty dollar titles, which is recommended, otherwise, you’d be losing the value of its deal.
There is one catch though: A Nintendo Online Service subscription is required, though, if statistics are any indication, most people have one already.

How did you feel about the Super Mario Maker 2 Direct? Were the vouchers something you expected to see from Nintendo? Will you be picking up these vouchers, if you own the online service? Do you think these vouchers are a good deal? I definitely think so. As always we’d love to hear your feedback in the comments section below, or on our various social media pages.
