Wow, I am so glad the last 36ish hours are over. I loved Thanksgiving and had a great time but the time after Thanksgiving was crazy. Recently I took a part-time job at a local retailer. Long story short I ended up working 11 pm, Thursday, until 11 am Friday. It’s not all complaints, I really enjoyed learning about the normal video game consumer. That “normal” consumer may make me sound elitist, but let’s be honest, doing what I do, I am not a normal consumer. Here are some conclusion I gleamed from my experience.

  • The 3DS will see some strong sales this holiday season.
  • The Wii is selling well but not as strong as the 360 or PS3.
  • Skyward Sword was moving but not as fast as I thought.
  • Sold 5 copies of Epic Mickey. (This one is a delight for me)
  • Not a lot of people are aware of the Wii U.

Of-course these insights are just from my local store and are due to change across the country.

I also want to take some time to let everyone know how we are doing at Pure Nintendo. I am trying my hardest to finish my Skyward Sword review by early next week. Behind that I have two more games, that I received last week, that I need to review. Besides that we have the 3rd issue of Pure Nintendo magazine as well as a special project I need to start working on. Long story short, if I start to act a little weird, you will know that it’s due to my body missing sleep.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Now back to sleep for me!
