In March of this year Red Thread Games successfully funded their new game Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey on Kickstarter raising over 1.5 million dollars.

Now the indie dev has confirmed with Edge-Online.com that Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey will in fact be releasing on the Wii U as well as Windows PC, Mac and Linux.  While speaking with Edge, Red Thread Games also states that Nintendo was the first console manufacturer to speak with the developer about releasing Dreamfall Chapters on a console platform.

“Nintendo approached us last autumn, immediately after Dreamfall Chapters was announced – they were, in fact, the first console manufacturer to do so,” says Red Thread founder and creative director Ragnar Tørnquist. “At that point, however, we weren’t ready to make any commitments regarding engine and platforms, so we decided to wait. We got back in touch with Nintendo in late May of this year, and they were very interested in working with us.”

Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey is due to release in November 2014.  Gamers interested in supporting Red Thread Games and Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey can pledge their support on the Red Thread Games website.
