The latest sales data from Japan is in, and it was a big week for the region, with plenty of new games launching, as well as a new hardware release.

The 2DS LL made its Japanese debut, and headed straight to the top of the hardware charts, moving 43,315 units to topple the Switch from its throne. The Switch and 3DS had their own small surges, selling more this week than last week.

In software, Hey! Pikmin and Ever Oasis made their debuts on 3DS (and 2DS), making their way into second and fourth spots respectively. On the Switch side of things, Mario Kart 8, ARMS and Breath of the Wild remain in the top ten again this week.
