The latest sales data from Japan is in, and this week saw a lot of competition for Nintendo with many new releases on other systems. ARMS was still the major player though, moving another 28,748 games to stay ahead of Final Fantasy  XIV’s latest incarnation (though technically, the combined sales of the two variations does slightly pip ARMS at the post).

Two other Switch titles rounded out the top ten, with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild still going strong.The humble 3DS saw six titles in the top twenty, including new release The Alliance Alive, which hit third position.

In hardware, the Switch maintained pole position despite the plethora of new software releases on competing consoles, though sales were down from last week to hit 22,361.
