Hoist up the Jolly Roger!
If you’ve been waiting to become the King of Seas on Nintendo Switch, you’ll be able to set sail in May of 2021. This is the target release date now that developer 3DClouds has teamed with Team17 to publish the action RPG for multiple platforms.
The publishing deal provides the developers with additional resources to enhance gameplay quality and provide additional localization options, including German, French, Spanish, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
For those who haven’t yet heard about King of Seas, it’s a nautical-themed action role-playing game set in a procedurally generated pirate world.
In a ferocious plot, you will fight to regain what has been taken away and embark on an epic adventure in a fantastic world filled with battles, lost islands, and treasures. A universe full of amazing characters and breathtaking missions will keep you anchored as you strive to become the king of all pirates.
Players will engage in a series of quests as intriguing characters lead you to the next path of your epic adventure through a lush, procedurally generated world. Atmospheric conditions influence gameplay, as you’d expect out on the high seas. RPG elements are applied to ships themselves, as you can customize them with an equipment and skill system that improves everything from cannon shots to nautical strategy to speed and spectacle.
