Mario Party for the 3DS was announced last week and will be the first Mario Party title to feature true 3D visuals!  The Mario Party 3DS game will play like the other Mario Party titles we are all used to where you roll the dice and move along a game board.  There are 7 game boards each with their own set of rules and will provide a unique challenge to players.  There have been 81 new minigames added to this new Mario Party title that will test a players speed, concentration, and luck.  New AR Card functionality has also been added to the game.

There was no talk during the Nintendo Direct presentation, when the game was announced, about multiplayer features.  Despite this absence of multiplayer news, I am almost positive that there will be some sort of local or even online multiplayer announced for Mario Party 3DS.  Mario Party is all about playing with other players on a virtual game board so I can not see Nintendo leaving multiplayer out of this game.

Mario Party 3DS is due to release sometime this winter.
